Creative Way USA is a non-voting, nonprofit charitable organization that supports the advancement of the
creative arts world-wide and in local communities.
Any individual, artist, musician, educator, student, professional,
organization or business interested in advancing and supporting the creative arts
worldwide or at a community level shall be eligible for membership.
Creative Way USA does not discriminate
against any individual or group based on race, color, religion, national origin, age,
sex, disability or any other protected status. Inquires concerning this policy may be
referred to the Creative Way USA Membership
Department.
Creative Way USA has a zero tolerance policy on discrimination and will not
knowingly support or patronize any individual or group which discriminates.
Creative Way USA reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership to individuals or
groups that are clearly discriminatory. Current members have the right to appeal to the
Board of Directors regarding any refusal or termination.
No person shall be denied admission or access to the programs or activities of
Creative Way USA, nor shall any person be denied employment with Creative Way USA,
solely because of any physical, mental or medical impairment within reasonable
accommodations.
Membership includes the benefits associated with the class of membership for which dues are current
as indicated in this web site or as outlined in authorized Creative Way USA publications.
Annual dues are charged for a term of one year, beginning with the date of membership made,
renewed with the annual billing of dues on the membership anniversary date. Membership dues are non-refundable.
Memberships are non-transferable.
Creative Way USA has the following classes of membership effective
November 1, 2002:
- General Member
- Friend
- Supporter
- Sponsor
- Benefactor
- Patron
- Silver Patron
- Gold Patron
At certain times, Creative Way USA may introduce and use a class called the President's Club,
This is an elite class that may be awarded by the President of Creative Way USA
to members of any of the previously mentioned classes
to recognize outstanding contributions, earned awards or to bestow a special honor.
President's Club members may be eligible for additional benefits bestowed along with an individual
award or as a standard benefit of this class of membership.
Members shall be entitled to participate in all Creative Way USA programs according to
their membership class. Members shall not be entitled to vote on any matters that have not
been authorized by the Board of Directors.
Any member may resign by filing a written resignation with the Secretary,
but such resignation shall not relieve the member so resigning of the obligation
to pay any dues, assessments or other charges theretofore accrued and unpaid, and
written notification must be received by the Creative Way USA Member Services Department at:
2668 Honolulu Ave. Suite A, Montrose, Ca. USA, 91020, along with any membership cards, certificates
of membership or membership plaques.
The Board of Directors, by affirmative vote of two-thirds of all the members of the
Board, may suspend or expel a member for cause after an appropriate hearing, and
may, by a majority vote of those present at any regularly constituted meeting,
terminate the membership of any member who becomes ineligible for membership,
or suspend or expel any member who shall be in default in the payment of dues
for the period of three (3) consecutive months.
Further, Creative Way USA reserves the right to remove any listings, advertisements in
either online form and/or printed form, cancel any event or function reservations,
and withhold any membership benefits or privileges
for failure to pay dues. Reinstatement of these benefits or privileges can be obtained by bringing
dues to a current and in full status, but does not guarantee a re-instatement in a Creative Way
USA function.
Membership does not guarantee entry in Creative Way USA functions or events that require
an admission or submission application process.
Applications are taken in date and time order, and are processed on a first-come, first
serve basis until full, after reserved right of full jury process.
Certain classes of membership do offer a discounts on function or event related fees,
and the mailing of the application to all current members first.
Creative Way USA fully supports free speech and freedom of creative expression,
but reserves the right not to display any illegal,
discriminatory, hateful,pornographic or offensive material in any advertisements,
printed material, or online material. In the case of dispute over this issue, the matter
may be put to a vote by all current members. The Board of Directors may be appealed to on
the matter and their decision is final on any appeal.
Membership is made when your application and full payment of your first year annual
dues is received.
Any increase of dues are subject to review and determination by the Board of Directors,
and all members will be duly notified if an increase is deemed applicable and appropriate.
Upon acceptance of membership, announcement of membership will be made and membership
benefits for each class will be made available within time-frames that are reasonable for
the particular benefit.
Membership certificates that are issued will be signed by the President and shall be
sealed with the seal of the corporation.
